Digestive issues:

DiGize is a blend that I topically put on my abdomen to help calm my system. Peppermint Oil is also a wonderful oil to help with digestion. I use either oil in this fashion: Place a drop on my hand and lick it, to soothe an upset tummy.

Headaches:

Place a drop of Peppermint Oil on my temples or rub a drop in my hand and take a few deep breaths. The M-grain blend is specially made for headaches. Try adding a drop on your temples and the back of the neck.

Immune Support:

Immupower Blend combines 9 single oils to support the body’s natural defenses.

Sore muscles:

Facts about Gluten: Did you know?

  • 1 in 6 people suffers from a serious illness that has a safe, effective, and inexpensive remedy: AVOID GLUTEN!
  • 1 in 33 people in the U.S. is affected by celiac disease, the majority of whom remain undiagnosed.
  • 6–7% of the US population is thought to have non-celiac gluten sensitivity.
  • 29% of Americans say they are trying to avoid gluten for health reasons.
  • Wheat today is completely different from the wheat we ate back in the day.
  • Young Living offers low glycemic, low gluten grain: Einkorn.

A note about the einkorn grain, it does contain gluten.

Young Living’s Einkorn has never been genetically modified. Einkorn grain has the original form of gluten that humans consumed for thousands of years. It has 14 chromosomes. However, modern-day wheat has 42 chromosomes which changes the gluten structure. Although people with celiac should avoid einkorn (as there are no accurate studies on celiac patients’ tolerance), studies show einkorn is well tolerated by a majority of people with gluten sensitivities.

Living Gluten Free is so much easier today.

This chart reveals the gluten content of the most popular grains. If you are gluten sensitive, you may do well with the Einkorn grain products from Young Living. Young Living’s True Grit Mix was the initial product available.

Let Essential Oils Help You Cool Down This Summer – Here Are Tips and Recipes!

summer sun calming reipesKeep your essential oils handy for summer recipes to stay cool, especially for hot and humid days. Remember, you can easily overheat yourself during summertime, even when you are just doing common outdoor activities.

When temperatures rise and you are doing gardening, or
spending time at the beach, you may feel uncomfortable.


Essential oils for summer tips on how you can prevent overheating:sunscreen-spf10

  • Drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages.
  • Wear white or light-colored clothes. Choose loose cotton clothing.
  • Prevent long stays in the sun.
  • Apply Young Living Sunscreen onto your skin.
  • Take a cool bath or shower frequently.

Here’s a few quick and easy recipes to cool down the summer heat:
Cool Peppermint Body Mist
peppermintIngredients:
12 drops of Peppermint essential oil
12 drops of Lavender essential oil
1 teaspoon of vinegar
4 ounces of water

 

Directions:
Put 4 oz water into a spray bottle. Then, add and blend all the remaining ingredients well.Tips:
Make sure to shake the mixture well before using. Prevent contact with sensitive body parts like eyes.
Store this Cool Peppermint Body Mist in the refrigerator for an extra cool sensation.

Lavender Refreshing Lavender Compress

lavender-oilIngredients:
12 drops of Lavender essential oil
3 drops of Grapefruit essential oil
9 drops of Peppermint essential oil
1 soft facial cloth
4 cups of cool water

Directions:
Get a small basin and put the water and the essential oils. Soak the facial cloth and ring out the excess water. Place the cloth on your forehead and neck alternately.

Tips:
Add some ice cubes in the mixture to increase the cooling effect.
Also, refresh the cloth as often as needed.
Prevent contact with eyes.

Cooling Peppermint Bath

Ingredients:
5 drops of Peppermint essential oil
4 drops of Lavender essential oil
1 tablespoon of Epsom salt
1 tablespoon of sea salt
1 tablespoon of baking soda

 

Directions:
Prepare a small bowl where you mix salt and baking soda. Then, sprinkle the essential oils and mix well. Put this mixture in lukewarm bath water.

Tips:
You can also use this as a cooling foot spa if you don’t have time to take a full bath.

Essential oils can be your best friend this summer time. Don’t forget to always have them
at home or on the road, at work or on vacation. Enjoy these essential oils for summer!

Tame Your Mane: Hair Care with Essential Oils

hair-detangleEvery now and then, we all get a visit from the Bedhead Fairy. If you have children, you know that bedhead can strike any time, night or day, without even having to see a bed. The next time you’re trying to tame some wild tresses, reach for this DIY (Do It Yourself) detangler!

To make things simple, each of these recipes starts with the same conditioning base. All you need to do is add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to this base to transform it into a custom detangling solution that will perfectly fit your needs.

DIY Detangler Basespray-amber-bottle
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Lavender Mint Conditioner or Lavender Conditioner
2 cups distilled water
24-oz. spray bottle

 

Directions:
Bring the distilled water to a simmer without boiling. Combine the warm water and conditioner in the bottle, shaking to combine. Add the recommended essential oils to the detangling base, shaking once again to distribute.

Apply the detangler to hair as needed, using the bottle’s spray attachment and focusing on the ends rather than the scalp. Gently comb to dispense evenly throughout your hair. You can either rinse out the detangler or leave it in for extra conditioning. Style your hair as usual and enjoy the pleasant aroma of essential oils throughout the day!

Geranium Essential Oil - 15 ml
Normal Hair
5 drops of Geranium essential oil
5 drops of Sacred Sandalwood essential oil
